Mit ihrem dritten Album Panacea, das am 18. Juni 2026 erschienen ist, öffnet Celine Cairo ein neues Kapitel. Die niederländische Singer-Songwriterin verbindet auf den zehn Songs des Albums persönliche Erfahrungen mit einer starken Verbindung zur Natur und erschafft eine Sammlung warmer, atmosphärischer Stücke, in denen Optimismus, Ehrlichkeit und ein Gefühl von Aufbruch aufeinandertreffen. Für uns hat Celine ein Track by Track mit allem Wissenswerten zu den Songs geschrieben!

1. Panacea

Panacea was the first song I wrote, after I came back from a solo trip to Asia. As soon as I landed back in Amsterdam, I felt different. The years before had been pretty tumultuous personally, and after this trip it was like I could finally let go of many of my worries. The song is all about embracing life in all its forms – not looking for some magical solution, but rather being present in the moment.

2. Cycles

I wrote this song as a reminder that we are all part of bigger natural motions in the world. From our relationships to our physical bodies to the earth spinning – everything is cyclical and the more we can lean into that, the less friction we put ourselves through. And sometimes we forget to ease into the natural flow of things, and that’s ok too. I hope this song calms and soothes people, and lets them know it’s ok to lose touch with yourself sometimes, you always find your way back eventually.

3. Woman

I wrote this song in London, after a night spent with my childhood best friend. We happened to be in London at the same time and had this gorgeous long conversation about womanhood and how our lives are both more free than we ever thought, and at the same time look so different than we expected. I wanted to write her this song with some words of love and encouragement, words I’ve heard from other women too.

4. Feel

This song is very dear to me. It’s about carrying old stories and trauma into adulthood, and needing to find a way to live with those stories as you also make your way into the world as you get older. I wanted it to feel both a bit mystical, and also energetic. It’s not a sad song to me, but rather a song about wonder and needing to escape every now and then.

5. Paris

This is a bit of a darker song on the record. It’s quite slow and sensual, as it talks about an encounter I had with a man I didn’t really know, in Paris one night. It’s about having your whole world shaken up by meeting someone, and then walking away with a bag of mixed feelings, while trying to stay true to oneself by acknowledging all sides of the situation and putting it all in broad daylight.

6. The Great Divide

I wrote this song about heartbreak and the falling apart (and then coming back together) of my relationship with my longtime partner. I wanted it to be a song about the pain of leaving someone, while at the same time acknowledging how much this person means to you. it’s all about love and coming together in the end, and about that deep longing we all have, to feel connected with other human beings.

7. Vertigo

I wrote this one in Utrecht with my friend and pianist Sander, whose studio at the time was in his super hot, tiny attic, in june 2024. This song, that’s grown into one of my favorites on the record, is all about feeling completely unsettled and disoriented within a relationship. It’s about how nothing stays the same, and sometimes it’s like you wake up in a situation that has not evolved in the way you wanted it to and need to deal with the fallout. In the end, it’s about reclaiming who you are in a relationship, by admitting to yourself that things just aren’t right for you anytime.

8. I Am I

This is my neo-hippy songs haha! It reflects on my personal journey, on how I wanted to be ‚healed‘, like so many people close to me, and how some people start to behave or feel superior through all the „wisdom“ they’ve consumed, rather than lived through. With this song, I wanted to reflect how we’re all equal and human, and how everyone has a stry to tell. To be and to feel equal is the most liberating thing, and that’s why I wanted this song to feel free and open and Moby-esque.

9. Coral Skies

This song is my pretty straight-forward love song. My partner and I produced it with loads of acoustic instruments, taking inspiration from some classic americana songs and allowing ourselves true pop-moments in the song as well. I love this song and how it makes me feel.

10. Swallows

The most spiritual song on the record. It was inspired by the actual swallows that flew by the window at the studio I was writing at, in the countryside just north from London. This idea that swallows come and go and symbolize this sense of homecoming and navigating the world with their instincts is just so beautiful, I felt. For sailors in history, they also symbolize the idea that land is near – even when you can’t see te shore. Isn’t that gorgeous? I wanted to end the record with this soothing song, with such beautiful guitar parts from my co-writers Danny and Dave, who are just the sweetest Brits I’ve ever met.
