Spätestens seit dem Gewinn des Anchor Awards beim Reeperbahn Festival 2017 ist auch hierzulande das Warten auf das Debüt der britischen Newcomerin Jade Bird ausgebrochen – aber lange hält uns die mittlerweile 21-jährige nicht mehr hin! Am 19. April erscheint das selbstbetitelte Debüt via Glassnote und dieser Tage gibt es auch mit I Get No Joy die nächste Single, samt Video daraus!

Jade Bird erklärt den Song: “This song is about the stream of thought that runs through your head at all times as an over thinker. It’s about how that gets in the way of being present in the moment and ultimately ‘getting no joy’ and about the frustration of everyone’s cliché of happiness not making you feel fulfilled either.”

Wir sind jetzt schon noch mehr gespannt auf das Debüt und schauen so lange das neue Video, bei dem James Thraves (Coldplay, Radiohead) Regie führte und das Jade Bird als draufgängerische Stuntfrau inszeniert!
