We’re fucking in a car, shooting heroin
Saying controversial things just for the hell of it
Selling melanin and then suffocate the black men
Start with misdemeanours and we’ll make a business out of them
And we can find out the information
Access all the applications
That are hardening positions based on miscommunication
Oh fuck your feelings
Truth is only hearsay
We’re just left to decay
Modernity has failed us

Und zack, Album Nummer Drei ist da: 2 Jahre nach dem Riesenerfolg von I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It liefern The 1975 nun ihr Drittwerk A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships ab.

“There are no big bands who are doing anything as interesting as us right now”, so Frontman Matt Healy dieses Jahr – Starke Aussage, starkes Ego.

“I moved on her like a bitch, excited to be indicted, unrequited house with seven pools”, heißt es in den Lyrics als Anlehnung an Trump und das Chaos in der Welt. Auf Give Yourself a Try wird Healy etwas persönlicher: “You learn a couple things when you get to my age, like friends don’t lie and it all tastes the same in the dark.”
